THE CARING HEART

This is a community program initiative, aimed at providing essential support to the Elderly residents of our community through the provision of Food, Shelter, and Medical care. The goal of this program is to ensure the well-being and quality of life for our Senior Citizens, who often face challenges in accessing these fundamental necessities.

We believe through the NEHOCO Caring Heart, we can make a significant positive impact on the lives of our elderly population.

Music is the main anchor, the heartbeat, the ladder, the tool that we use to reform, rehabilitate, heal, bring new hope and develop sense of belonging to our children and youth in the community. Music as a tool most people underestimate it not knowing that it has the power to bring positive change and a good future to children and youths.

Nehoco gives free music tuition to our children in our home and also to over 80 children and youth from our community daily.

WHY MUSIC?

Music as a tool empowers, transforms children and develops key skills like teamwork, hardwork, focus, discipline, listening, critical thinking, confidence, and to solve problem.

Living in a 3rd world country, getting musical instruments is a very big challenge for us yet every child needs a musical instrument. Children take 2 or 3 days to have a chance to touch an instrument because we have a few instruments yet our children are many.

What our children and youth say about us.

As Nehoco, we work with vulnerable, poor, orphans, ex-street marginalized children and young people in society, we first-hand witnesses of how the great opportunity of learning to play music has power to empower and positively impact the lives of children and youths. This is what they say about our music programs.
